Altern 8 are a legendary British rave duo, formed in 1990 by Mark Archer and Chris Peat. Originally known as Nexus 21, the pair were heavily influenced by Detroit’s early techno sound. As the rave movement exploded, they embraced the anonymity of their iconic ‘A’ masks and chemical warfare suits, performing live at illegal parties across the UK. Their hits, including Infiltrate 202, Activ-8, and E-Vapor 8, charted in the UK, cementing their place in rave history. With their 1992 album Full On Mask Hysteria reaching number 10, Altern 8 continue to shape the rave scene with electrifying live sets today.

An Dannsa Dub, nominated for Live Act of the Year at the MG Na Trad Awards and Scottish Alternative Music Awards, is a fusion of traditional Scottish music and digital dub. Formed in 2020 by dub vocalist Tom Spirals and Scottish musician Euan McLaughlin, the project blends Gaelic song with heavy basslines and meditative dub rhythms. Their sound celebrates the ancient Gaelic and West African rhythms that influenced reggae, creating a vibrant mix of cèilidh and sound system energy. Starting with acid house, he became a producer and owner of Aphrodite Recordings by the early '90s, helping to create the jungle sound. His innovation in the mid-'90s led to the rise of jump-up drum 'n' bass, blending high-energy bass with hip-hop and reggae influences. Partnering with Micky Finn as Urban Shakedown and Urban Takeover, they defined '90s rave music with classics like "Bad Ass" and "Some Justice." Micky Finn, a key figure in the UK rave scene, has been at the forefront of music since the acid house days of the '80s. Known for his infectious, crowd-pleasing approach, Finn's early productions like "She's Breaking Up" and collaborations with Aphrodite helped shape jungle and drum & bass. After their 2020 debut EP Myths and Legends from Gorbag’s Domain and their 2023 self-titled album, their 2024 release The Rise and Demise of the Motorsteeple marked a breakthrough. They’ve supported KISS, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Jane’s Addiction, and in 2025, they'll tour the UK and EU, performing at major festivals like Download and Copenhell.

Bau Cat, formed in 2023 in North Wales, consists of Abby Butler (vocals & bass), Jim Davies (guitar & vocals), and Jack Wells (drums & vocals). Their sound blends 60s west coast pop, psychedelic vibes, and harmonies reminiscent of The Mamas and the Papas and The Beatles. With influences from country, surf, indie, and psych, their energetic rock 'n' roll style is enhanced by three-part harmonies. After closing stages at Glastonbury and Green Man, their single "Feel" hit BBC Wales' A-List, and their debut EP received BBC and Radio 6 airplay. Their single "Brothers & Sisters" now airs on British Airways and Aer Lingus flights. The band is gearing up for a UK tour in April after securing BBC Horizons funding.
