An Dannsa Dub, nominated for Live Act of the Year at the MG Na Trad Awards and Scottish Alternative Music Awards, is a fusion of traditional Scottish music and digital dub. Formed in 2020 by dub vocalist Tom Spirals and Scottish musician Euan McLaughlin, the project blends Gaelic song with heavy basslines and meditative dub rhythms. Their sound celebrates the ancient Gaelic and West African rhythms that influenced reggae, creating a vibrant mix of cèilidh and sound system energy.
