Goldie, a pioneering force in the drum’n’bass and breakbeat jungle scenes, revolutionised the genre with his unique style and larger-than-life persona. 

His 1995 album Timeless helped popularise drum’n’bass as a form of musical expression, blending dark, intelligent beats with raw, emotional depth. As the founder of Metalheadz Records, Goldie nurtured the careers of many influential artists and pushed the boundaries of jungle music. 

His career also includes notable collaborations, such as with Björk, and high-profile achievements, including an MBE for services to music and young people. A true icon, Goldie continues to shape both music and culture today.

Those of you who have joined us at Boomtown in previous chapters have probably seen Goldie pack out one of our stages for an immense set. A few years ago at The Twin Trail, the Drum and Bass godfather packed out Wrong Side of the Tracks for one of the top sets of that year. 

This year you’ll catch his live set on the immense Grand Central stage. This stage has played host to some huge artists in the past including Nia Archives, Greentea Peng, Skream & Benga and many more.
