Boomtown is set in the rolling hills of Matterley Estate, a working dairy farm in the most westerly point of South Downs National park, near Winchester. Exact routing information will be sent with your ticket, please follow it carefully!

Instalment Tickets
You can opt to split the cost of your ticket with a payment plan, select this option at the end of the checkout process.
If you miss a payment of one of your instalments you should contact Kaboodle immediately by logging into your account or emailing them at boomtown@kaboodle.co.uk
If you fail to make the payments in accordance with Kaboodle’s terms and conditions of your payment plan then your ticket may be cancelled and you will not be eligible for a refund. This includes all added extras, accommodation and travel tickets.

PA Ticket
We offer free PA tickets for those who may need them. If you feel that you need a PA to help you get the best out of your time at Boomtown, and you have a current middle or higher rate DLA or you receive a PIP then you are eligible for a free PA ticket. Other applications will also be taken on a discretionary case by case basis. Name Change
If you would like to process a name change on your booking then please head to your Kaboodle account and follow the below steps. If you are unsure of your password, this can be reset on the login page.
- Once you are logged into your Kaboodle account, you will need to click on "manage booking".
- Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click on "Want to change something?".
- Select the checkbox next to the current ticket holder's name.
- Please ensure that you read the name change information provided on the page before clicking on "Enter new details".
- Click on "Enter new details".
- Input details of the new ticket holder and review this before proceeding.
- Click "Add to basket".
- Click "Checkout".
- You will now reach the payment page, before proceeding to complete payment of the £20 name change fee please ensure you have read the information provided in full.
- Once payment has been made, the name change is complete.
The e-ticket will be re-issued in the new person's name. You must send this to the new ticket holder.
Ticket Insurance
Ticket plan Refund Protection is available and we strongly recommend that you include this option. Your booking is non-refundable and this will protect you against cancellation resulting from accidents and illnesses, up to a maximum of £5000 per refund application.

Ecobond
With every entry ticket you pay a £20 Eco Bond deposit.
This is an agreement with us that you will leave the space you camp in whilst at Boomtown as you found it. Free from litter and in no way damaging to the natural habitat.
You can redeem your £20 deposit at the end of the festival by bringing two bags of recyclable litter with you to one of the designated hubs.
More information will be shared about this nearer to the festival.
Travel
Parking
You can purchase a car parking pass whilst making your initial booking or after you bought your ticket by logging into your Kaboodle account.
All our parking passes are valid for arrival from Wednesday 6th August onward. Please enter your vehicle registration details in the box below.
Remember there are different car parks for Skylark and Orchid be sure to select the relevant car park to where you are staying.
Private Hire Coaches
If you have booked your own private coach or minibus for you and your mates to come to the festival, you need to book a space to be dropped off at our coach park. The coach spot costs £85.

You can arrive by train with your public transport ticket.
The closest main rail station is Winchester which is about three miles away - National Rail Enquiries website has information for passengers with accessibility needs and the DPTAC also offers comprehensive advice for travellers with disabilities.
We run a regular shuttle bus from Winchester train station to the festival site. A timetable will be published in July via the Boomtown website. The shuttle service will be wheelchair accessible.
If you have a Public Transport ticket and do not arrive by public transport your ticket will not be valid for entry.

You can travel from one of the following destinations. Remember, if you select to travel on Wednesday you get free Wednesday entry.

Safety
Looking After Yourself
We’d recommend bringing a small stocked first aid kit including plasters, basic medication like; painkillers, antihistamines, antiseptic cream, sun cream, after sun and insect repellant.
If you have pre-existing medical conditions such as asthma or diabetes make sure you bring what you need for your time on-site and see our prescribed medicine section below.
Bring a refillable water bottle to use at any of our water points to keep hydrated throughout the weekend
Ensure you have clothing for all weather eventualities
The most important things you can do
- Eat, sleep, hydrate - repeat!
- Know where Medical and Welfare are located and that you can ask anyone in a tabard (stewards, security) for help at any time.
- Look after your friends
- Understand the risks and educate yourself around using drugs and alcohol. The Loop will have a presence onsite to offer drug education. (They will not have a drug testing service this year).
Medical Centre
We will have a 24-hour medical centre for first aid support, plus an on-site field-hospital staffed with medical professionals, including doctors, nurses, paramedics and mental health practitioners. Medical outreach and response is carried out by foot patrols and 4x4 ambulances.
The medical centres are equipped to deal with almost all medical emergencies, right through to minor illnesses and injuries. They function in a similar way to many A&E departments across the country and are supported by festival ambulance buggies and paramedics.
There is a pharmacy service available at the medical centre where you can buy over the counter items such as paracetamol, ibuprofen, plasters, tampons and condoms.
Welfare Centres
For our citizens who need to make use of a calm environment there are welfare centres on site where there are trained staff on hand to help.
Here you’ll find confidential help, counselling services and advice for any emotional problems. The welfare teams have staff trained to provide professional support and advice on a wide range of issues, including drug and alcohol abuse, addiction, bereavement, eating disorders.
Safer Spaces
Sexual harassment, assault and domestic violence support will be offered by Safer Spaces, who have a chill out and glam tent as well as outreach posts in the Campsite Help Points. The team will be on hand to talk about harassment, sexual health and consent, as well as supporting with any sexual assault reports. Safer Spaces works to prevent violence against women and girls, but are gender informed and gender inclusive.
Security
There are a lot of measures in place to help keep everyone safe, including our security teams who assist in ensuring things run smoothly for all of us. They are all Security Industry Authority (SIA) trained and are here to help, listen, advise, take reports and deal appropriately with difficult situations.
You can find them easily in their hi-vis tabards throughout the city, in all campsites and campsite help points, stages and venues, where their primary objective is to keep us all safe and secure.
What security Cannot Do
- Confiscate drugs without recording the process.
- Under no circumstances can they carry out any form of intimate body searching of an individual. This can only be carried out by the police. There will be police onsite supporting our search procedures, who may conduct intimate body searches where they deem it to be necessary.
Security must follow the rules and respect everyone on site. Boomtown is a community which celebrates diversity and does not tolerate any form of intimidation, violent or threatening behaviour or prejudice or anti-social behaviour.If at any point you feel that Security staff are not behaving in an appropriate way please DO report it whilst you are on site, so we can ensure it is followed up and we can take affirmative action immediately. You can do this by reporting it to the Info Point and the Campsites Help Points, or via the Boomtown app. You can also request that a different security staff member requests assistance from a manager to deal with the situation. To help us investigate this fully, if possible please make a note of the following details:
- SIA / ID number (this is found on security’s hi vis jacket)
- Tabard number
- Location
- Date / time
- Physical description of the staff member
What Security Can Do
You will see security all across the festival site and below outlines some things security does around the festival to try and keep everyone feeling safe throughout the weekend.
Security constantly keeps their eye on crowd flow! Sometimes they might:
- Stop people entering an area or stage if it has reached capacity, or you don’t have the right wristband for a specific area
- Shut down venues
- Implement one-way systems
- Cordon off areas
- Remove tents if they are blocking fire lanes
You can help them by listening & following their instructions. Security staff are very friendly and you are more than welcome to ask them why they have implemented a venue close/one way system but if they do look busy they may not be able to answer straight away.
You will also find security in and around campsite areas to keep an eye on everyone’s safety and wellbeing as well as ensure everyone gets the chance to rest up, refuel and have some much-needed sleep, security are on hand to:
- Provide support to anyone who may feel they have been put in an uncomfortable position by any anti-social behaviour
- Provide a presence across campsites to check for suspicious behaviour and protect against opportunist tent theft
- Ask the more boisterous amongst us to move if they are in a designated quiet area or if it’s the early hours
- Switch off rogue and prohibited sound systems
They can also…
- Stop people from putting themselves and others in danger by climbing on sets or equipment
- Stop tagging and vandalism of sets
- Confiscate any item that is on the prohibited items list
- Confiscate any alcohol brought into the festival that is over the official limit
- Implement no smoking regulations
- Enforce the festival policy on overt drug taking. Security staff are briefed to intervene if they see drug taking. They can confiscate drugs found, issue a warning, or remove you to evictions. Any person seen overtly taking drugs will have their name checked against any prior drug taking/possession onsite, if you are seen taking/possessing drugs on more then 1 occasion you will be automatically evicted
- Restrain anyone who is a danger to themselves or others
- Carry out searches in cars, campervans, bag and outer clothing person searches
Nitrous Oxide (NOS/Balloons)
While it might seem like harmless fun, using or supplying nitrous oxide can actually land you in serious legal trouble. Nitrous Oxide (NOS/Balloons) are now a Class C controlled substance. This means possession with intent to use is a criminal offence. In the UK, it’s illegal to sell or distribute nitrous oxide for recreational use. If caught, you could face fines or even worse, imprisonment. And let's not forget those discarded canisters can cause significant environmental harm. They’re not biodegradable, and they litter our festival grounds, causing damage to wildlife and the environment.
Harm Reduction Services On-Site
Each year we welcome harm reduction partners to work with us in our planning and to offer advice and education around drug usage to our citizens onsite.
The Loop
The Loop will have their drugs education tent on site to offer information and guidance on drugs to our festival goers for free.
TLC
Our dedicated welfare team is here to offer support and welfare services for anyone who feels they may need it. Please pay them a visit if you are feeling a bit overwhelmed by anything or just need a bit of TLC.
Cocaine Anonymous
If you are just looking for someone to talk to about how you are feeling, or would like information about ongoing help, these teams are here to listen.
Mixing substances
Mixing substances intensifies the effects of any individual drug and makes them more dangerous. The more drugs that are used simultaneously, the greater the risk is. Do not mix substances. Some examples and risks of them are:
Depressant + Depressant (such as ketamine and alcohol): Combining these can slow down your central nervous system way too much, which can be really dangerous and even lead to death.
Stimulant + Stimulant (such as ecstasy and cocaine): This combo puts a lot of strain on your heart and can cause insomnia or even drug-induced psychosis.
Stimulant + Depressant (such as cocaine and alcohol): Mixing these can trick your body into thinking it can handle more, but when one wears off, the effects of the other can hit you all at once.
Many people don’t think of alcohol as a ‘drug’. Alcohol can however, have a big impact on the way many substances affect you. Some of the time this involves enhancing the effects of the other drug, but with many substances, alcohol can create a dangerous, potentially fatal, chemical reaction.
Drugs Policy
With the support of the local authorities we do not have a ‘Zero Tolerance’ to drugs but instead focus on the ‘Four P’s’ - (Prevent, Protect, Prepare, Pursue)
Prevent
We do everything we can to keep drugs out of the festival through:
• Searches at the gates
• Passive & proactive drug dogs
• Spotters on gates
• Festival drug experts
• Ejection at the gate if you are caught in possession of illegal drugs
• Extensive CCTV coverage across site
Protect
Provide education and support services to protect those planning on taking drugs
• Amnesty Zones at entry gates - for people to legally dispose of drugs without judgement or repercussion
• Roaming campsite welfare teams
• Fully equipped Medical Centre
• The Loop drug awareness tent
• Welfare Centres
• On-call Mental Health response team
We utilise our back of house drug testing providers to identify harmful substances circulating at the festival and keep those in attendance informed with as much factual information as possible throughout the weekend via our social channels, festival app, on the various operational screens and information points across the festival.
Prepare
See drugs as a welfare issue
• Increased welfare and medical provision
• Outreach welfare teams and an on-call mental health team
• Additional specialist medical resources
Pursue
Processes to deter illegal drug supply and the open use of drugs:
• Enhanced searching at gates all weekend
• Resources targeting suspected dealing
• Eviction as a minimum for anyone suspected of drug dealing
• Receipted confiscation of any drugs seen to be openly consumed
High Strength Ecstacy Pills
In 2021, pills contained around 150MG of MDMA. Now, the average sits at over 180MG. Stronger IS NOT better. It’s more dangerous. ALWAYS start low and go slow and allow your body to feel the effects. A lot of drugs have come on the market that are incredibly pure, which doesn't mean they are ‘safer’ or good for you... Always pace yourself.
Drug Safety
At Boomtown we aim to treat drug usage as more of a welfare issue than a criminal one. We raise awareness of drug safety throughout the year and implement a series of harm reduction measures on site designed to safeguard our citizens. This has long been a priority for us and we are proud to be able to say we have participated and led the way in this safety drive.
We do not condone any usage of drugs at Boomtown and anyone found in possession of drugs, will have them confiscated and you might be ejected from the festival site and could face prosecution. If you get a police record for drugs it may impact your future employment, education and travel plans.
Please read this information on the areas we have highlighted for this years festival that many people should be fully aware of before experimenting with drugs.
Ketamine
Not only does taking Ketamine dissociate you from the festival surroundings, it also has some very serious and very real side effects;
• Taking Ketamine can be fatal, particularly if it is mixed with other drugs or alcohol • Taken in high dosage can cause seizures
• Ketamine can increase your heart rate and blood pressure. It can make you confused, agitated, delirious and disconnected from reality.
• Because you don't feel pain properly when you've recently taken Ketamine, you can injure yourself and not know you've done it.
• Abdominal pain, sometimes called ‘K cramps’, have been reported by people who have taken ketamine for a long time.
• In the longer term, Ketamine can cause serious bladder problems, with the urgent and frequent need to pee.
• Evidence of liver damage due to regular, heavy Ketamine use is emerging.
Camping
General
All festival entry tickets include access to our general campsites but there are a few options to upgrade your camping such as Camp Orchid or Camp Skylark.
Orchid
Upgrade your camping experience with Camp Orchid! Experience sectioned-off camping, flushing toilets, and a pamper parlour with hot showers, mirrors, hair dryers and straighteners. Just bring your tent, pitch up and enjoy.
The Camp Orchid wristband is for access to this campsite only you will still need to purchase your entry ticket.
Skylark
Camp Skylark is all about making life easy and letting you soak up the festival vibes hassle-free.
From cosy bell tents to luxurious airstreams, we've got it all. Including flushing toilets, hot showers and pamper parlour with mirrors, hair dryers and straighteners. Get a full list of the Skylark Accomodations on our ticket page.
Relax away from the city and enjoy a morning coffee or sunset cocktail from Skylark’s boutique bar and chillout area. Skylark wristbands also grant you access to flushing toilets inside the city area.
Don’t forget, all Camp Skylark residents must purchase a Skylark Wristband. When you are purchasing your Skylark ticket each person who is attending needs to have a Skylark wristband. If you forgot to add any wristbands when you booked, don’t panic, the lead booker needs to log into their Kaboodle account and add them.

All of our live-in vehicle pitches have sold out this year.

Lockers
Choose between a large or small locker both come with 1x universal socket and 2x USB sockets.
A safe location to keep keys, passports, coach/train tickets, rucksacks, merch and any other valuables.
Phone Charging
Hire a portable charger and swap once a day for a full charger.
Capture every moment and keep connected to your friends. Collect your first charger at any of our locations, and swap it every day and get 5000 mAh of power daily. (enough juice to power a phone for a day - even for a heavy user.) *£10 deposit is required on collection -refunded on return of the last charger.

The Meadow Accessible Campsite
The Meadow is a dedicated campsite for D/deaf and disabled customers, located close to the main town for easier access to the action! This campsite has a dedicated disabled car park a short distance away. Exact distances from the car park to the Meadow campsite will be shared closer to the Festival.
The Meadow campsite is staffed during the day by the Access Team who can help with day to day festival needs.
Tents and campervans are placed into different areas within The Meadow campsite so we can allocate space and ensure the campsite is safe and easier to navigate for those with wheelchairs or other accessibility aids.
Group SizeAlongside yourself as the access customer, you are welcome to invite up to 2 other friends or family to camp with you in the Meadow plus any approved PA.
Tents at The Meadow There will be a dedicated area to pitch your tents in The Meadow. Your group will have an allocated pitch size in order to accommodate as many D/deaf and disabled customers as possible. We ask that you please be mindful about the size tent you are bringing. We understand you may require a bigger than normal tent for your accessibility needs but wherever possible we encourage you to tent share with others in your group staying with you. There is no electricity hook up provided for tents unless required for essential medical equipment. Please see the Essential Medical Devices section below.
Campervans at The Meadow We can accommodate live-in vehicles within the standard campervan rules and the live-in vehicles T&C’s. You must be able to fit within a 5m wide x 7m deep pitch (including the towing vehicle). For vehicles over 7m you must purchase and request two pitches. There is no electricity hook up provided for campervans or caravans unless required for essential medical equipment. Please see the Essential Medical Devices section below.
Providing Evidence
In order to approve you for our bookable access provisions including PA tickets, we will request to see some documentation to prove that you are eligible.
You will be asked to provide one of the following documents.
Any uploaded documents on the application form must be clearly dated within the last 12 months or show the current valid date.
List of Supporting Documents we accept:
- Confirmation of Disability Living Allowance, Personal Independence Payment, or Attendance Allowance
- This must be recent and clearly show the Name and Address of the recipient
- This must clearly show the rates of Mobility and Personal Care / Daily Living components you have been awarded
- We cannot take into account Covid Extension letters, Yearly Update Letters, ESA, UC, Blue Badges, Appointment Letters or Christmas Bonus letters
- CredAbility Access Card with +1 requirement for a PA , showing on the card www.accesscard.org.uk
- Evidence that you are registered as severely sight impaired (Blind) and/or D/deaf
- Recognised Assistance Dog ID card. Please see this section on Assistance Dogs for further information: Assistance Dogs Policy
- War Disablement Pension letter
- Armed Forces Independent payment
- A letter from a 3rd party professional aware of your needs
- This must be recent & clearly state the diagnosis and impact of your conditions described in your application
- This must be on surgery / official headed paper
We may be able to take a variety of other documents into account such as occupational health reports, care plans, EHCP’s, OT assessments. We will take these supporting documentation into consideration following the industry standards and Attitude is Everything's charter guidance regarding eligibility.
If you are applying for a PA ticket, any doctor's note will need to provide evidence that you require 1 on 1 support with daily activities.
Please ensure you purchase your own ticket (as the access customer) in the general sale and purchase any required campervan and car park passes. We can swap your campervan or car park pass to The Meadow Accessible Campsite if you wish to camp with us once you have completed the Access Application, supporting documentation has been provided to the Access Team and your application has been approved.
Viewing Platforms
There will be raised viewing platforms for D/deaf and disabled citizens at selected main stages. These platforms are for people who need to be seated in order to be able to watch the performances. They are manned during the stages’ operating times. There will be seating and wheelchair charging facilities and an accessible toilet close by.
Updated information about the locations of viewing platforms will be released before the festival and in your welcome pack.
Customers requiring use of these platforms can request this by completing the Access Application Form. The viewing platforms are solely for the use of our access customers plus their PA. Due to limited capacity, we are unable to accommodate friends or family on the platform. Every platform has a steward / security managing the space.
Platforms are run on a first come, first served basis with demand varying depending on the time of day, the artist and the stage.
Please note customers using large scooters may be asked to park these at the bottom of the viewing platform ramps when possible to ensure we can accommodate as many access customers on the platforms as we can.
About the Site
Boomtown is set in an open green-field hilly site. It has some dirt track paths however most of the spaces involve grass, sand, wooded areas, inclines and uneven terrain.
Our site consists of two main areas; The City and the Campsite Villages, which are separated by a large hill. The site has a range of stages, both open air and in woodland areas where sand is used for the ground, plus unique pop up smaller scale venues around the City.
There will be a dedicated accessible campsite for disabled people called The Meadow. This is situated at the bottom of the hill near The City and the main stages.
Please be aware that areas such as Camp Orchid & Camp Skylark are located on the top of the hill of the Festival site. If you struggle with long walking distances & inclines, we would highly recommend applying to camp at The Meadow Accessible Campsite.
While there will be some sheltered areas (some woodland areas, smaller venues, stalls and marquees), it is predominantly an open-air event. Ground conditions are therefore weather dependent; if we experience extreme wet weather the ground has a tendency to become muddy and the grass may well get churned up. This means that mobility across the site may become compromised. We ask you to consider this before purchasing a ticket.
Accessible Toilets & Showers
Toilets: There are poly-john accessible toilets situated all over the festival site, they are locked in order to manage access and ensure cleanliness. Along with an on-site text service for reporting any issues.
We will be using a RADAR key and padlock system for 2025. If you have your own RADAR key please bring this with you, alternatively once approved for access facilities we can loan you a RADAR key for £10, available once you arrive at the Festival and refunded to you once the key is returned back to us. RADAR keys will be available for loan from;
Downtown locations: The Meadow Accessible Campsite & the Downtown Info Point
Hilltop locations: Hilltop Welfare Tent, Camp Orchid and Camp Skylark.
Showers: Please note that the accessible showers are only located at The Meadow Accessible Campsite, Camp Orchid and Camp Skylark.
Please see our EXTRAS section on our website for other site-wide facilities such as hot showers if you are not staying in or using The Meadow accessible campsite facilities.
Arriving to the Festival
There is a dedicated Access Customer entrance & lane to the Festival located only at the West Gate Box office, with shorter queue times. This entrance is available to access customers parking in the disabled car park, arriving by coach or via the public drop off point.
What access facilities are available?
- Ease of Festival entry via the dedicated Access Customer lane (at West Entry Gate only) for reduced queue times. This is not available at any other entry gate.
- Disabled campsite called The Meadow for tents and campervans
- Disabled car park close to The Meadow campsite, exact distance will be shared closer to the Festival
- Use of accessible showers available in The Meadow campsite
- Charging for wheelchairs and other accessibility aids at The Meadow Access Hub
- Use of accessible toilets with RADAR key and padlock system across the Festival site
- Secure medicine fridge in The Meadow campsite
- Disabled Viewing Platforms at 5 main stages
- British Sign Language Interpretation for selected performances
- Accessible transport service, operating inside the Festival. This is not available from car parks to the entry gates. Available for customers with an accessibility wristband only, wait times to be expected.
Getting To The Festival

Personal Assistant Tickets
In order to approve you for our bookable access provisions including PA tickets, we will request to see some documentation to prove that you are eligible.
You will be asked to provide one of the following documents.

We may be able to take a variety of other documents into account such as occupational health reports, care plans, EHCP’s, OT assessments. We will take these supporting documentation into consideration following the industry standards and Attitude is Everything's charter guidance regarding eligibility.
If you are applying for a PA ticket, any doctor's note will need to provide evidence that you require 1 on 1 support with daily activities.
Please ensure you purchase your own ticket (as the access customer) in the general sale and purchase any required campervan and car park passes. We can swap your campervan or car park pass to The Meadow Accessible Campsite if you wish to camp with us once you have completed the Access Application, supporting documentation has been provided to the Access Team and your application has been approved.
How Do I Apply for a PA ticket?
Step 1: Purchase your own ticket (as the access customer) in the general sale, please purchase any campervan and car park passes or coach / train travel when you buy your general ticket: HTTPS://WWW.BOOMTOWNFAIR.CO.UK/TICKETS/
You do not need to purchase a ticket for your PA however we will ask to see documentation (detailed in Section 1) to confirm your eligibility before we approve any PA ticket.
If you select the accessibility tick box during the transaction, you will be automatically added to the access database and notified regarding applying for PA Tickets, Meadow Camping and other bookable access facilities
Step 2: Complete the Access Applications by Monday 22nd July. Any requests after this time will not be approved
Step 3: The access team will check your documents and if you are eligible, confirm the PA ticket on your ticket account and arrange any other access requests you may have.
What Will My PA have access to?
Your PA ticket will replicate your ticket meaning that if, for example, you have purchased a Camp Orchid pass, the PA ticket will have this added to their ticket at no extra cost.
If you are travelling by coach, PA tickets will automatically be added to the same coach journey as you (the access customer).
Please note, if you are paying by instalments, the PA ticket will not be issued to your account until the full price of your own ticket has been completed.
Assistance Dogs
Boomtown recognises that guide dogs and assistance dogs offer vital support for people with sensory impairments, mobility issues, psychiatric illness or social disorders. We believe that accredited assistance dogs are, by definition, highly trained and that their owners have had specialised training in the safe and effective use of their dog. We also believe that supporting the welfare of dogs is vital to protect them and ensure they are safe around members of the public. Please refer to our ASSISTANCE DOG POLICY for further information.
Please notify us if you plan to bring an assistance dog with you. We will send you further information about what evidence we require to authorise one. Once approved we will send an authorisation letter for your dog to enter the festival. You can apply to bring an Assistance Dog with you via the Access Application Form.
Strobe Lighting and Pyrotechnics
Strobe lighting and pyrotechnics are used in many of the stages and venues across the Festival. This is integral to the production of our sets and stages. We will endeavour to provide signs on any stages and venues using strobe and for stage managers to announce when they will be in use, but we cannot promise this. We also aim to release a list of all venues using strobe lighting or pyrotechnics shortly before the festival. If you are affected by strobes or flashing lights, please communicate with venue staff, alternatively, you can talk to The Access Team and Meadow Campsite staff who may be able to provide further information.

Alternative Camping Options
You are welcome to camp in any of the other campsites available. These options include:
- General Camping in Downtown Village or Hilltop Village
- Pre-pitched tents in either Camplight or Tangerine Fields (for additional cost)
- Camp Orchid or Camp Skylark (for additional cost)
Please be aware that the above campsites do not offer the same level of access facilities available at The Meadow accessible campsite.

Camp Skylark, Camp Orchid & Hilltop Campsite area are all situated on top of a steep hill. There is a long distance between these campsites, the main arena and The Meadow Accessible Campsite.
Camp Orchid is a bring-your-own tent campsite. Camp Skylark is a boutique campsite. Both these campsites have wide access toilets & shower facilities for those who have purchased camping here.
Wherever you are camped you are welcome to visit The Meadow and make use of the accessible facilities at any time. Please apply for this via the Access Application Form, when it goes live, to request an accessibility wristband to visit The Meadow and other site wide bookable access facilities.
Getting Around
Boomtown is a greenfield site, and a particularly hilly one at that! There are some hard standing roads and metal trackways around the festival but most of the district streets and arenas are grass and the woodland venues are wood chip or sand. The Access Map, which will be available closer to the festival, defines each area so you can plan your routes around the festival.
The Meadow accessible campsite is closer to the action situated in Downtown / West camping. There is a moderate walking distance (between 500m - 1km) from Meadow campsite to the main stages but has a reduced amount of steep hills from other locations.
We recommend that you request camping in The Meadow accessible camping if you have difficulty travelling long distances by foot and will not be bringing a suitable accessibility aid with you such as a mobility scooter or electric wheelchair.
Internal Accessible Transport Service There will be a wheelchair accessible transport service operating on a loop around the Festival site with 2 access buses running the service. This service is only available for approved access customers and approved PA’s who have the Boomtown PA lanyard on. The PA must be accompanied by the access customer. They cannot make use of this service without them. Due to limited space we cannot accommodate other members in your group to use this service. Please note this is not a request service. You will be able to catch the accessible transport service from one of the dedicated Accessible Bus Stops across the site. Look out for the Accessible Bus Stop signs on site. Our Access Map published closer to the festival will detail the exact locations of the accessible bus stops.
Due to the nature of our site, many of the driving routes are also used by pedestrians. For this reason, the length of time it can take for the accessible bus route to run a full service and reach an accessible bus stop can vary. We are unable to provide a bus timetable or timed scheduled stops for this reason. Please be aware this is a limited service, there will be wait times during busy peak periods, this could be between 1 - 2 hours on arrival days.
Prescribed Medicine and Medicine Fridges
If you need to bring prescribed medication with you to the festival, please follow these steps:
- Bring a copy of your prescription or a doctor’s note in your name which details your medication.
- Keep the medication in its original packaging.
- Only bring enough for the duration of your stay.
Medical Cannabis - We will need to pre-authorise your medical cannabis in particular so you don't have any problems on entry. Please complete the Access Application form with a copy of your prescription or a doctor's note in your name which details your medication.
Medicine Fridges Medicine can be refrigerated at The Meadow accessible campsite, please apply via the Access Application Form to arrange this. Remember to bring a plastic container, clearly labelled with your name to store all your medicine in.
Syringes Please bring your own supply of syringes and ask The Meadow team to store these in a secure place at The Meadow accessible campsite. Syringes must be disposed of in the clinical waste bin at The Meadow campsite or at the Medical & Welfare tents.
Soiled Waste Can be disposed of in a clinical waste collection bin at the The Meadow Accessible campsite
Charging for Medical Devices
We do not provide electrical hook up to your tent or campervan unless required for an essential medical device, such as CPAP machines. Phone charging does not constitute an essential medical device that requires overnight charge to your tent or campervan. This can be charged at the charging tent in The Meadow.
Pre-approval for electrical hook up must be requested in advance via the Access Application Form. This service is only provided at The Meadow accessible campsite.
Personal electric hook ups are only approved for those who need overnight, consistent power at their camping location (e.g. CPAP machines). We will ask to see a doctor’s note or diagnosis letter confirming the machine and its overnight use. Please upload a copy of this on the Access Application Form.
Please also let us know the type of device you are bringing and its power requirement.
For example: CPAP machine, overnight power supply.
If you have a device that needs charging or one off connections to power when in use (Nebuliser) you are welcome to use the charging facility at The Meadow accessible campsite Access Hub.
Mobility Scooters, Wheelchairs & Accessibility Aids
Please notify us if you plan to bring a mobility scooter. You will need to sign an agreement to show you understand the conditions of its use on site. Please apply via the Access Application Form.
If you have a wheelchair or other accessibility aid that needs charging you are welcome to use the charging facilities at The Meadow accessible campsite Access Hub.
Please apply for use of these facilities via the Access Application Form.
We are unable to provide wheelchairs at the Festival so if you require one, we recommend bringing this with you.
Lowered Bar Counters
Lowered countered bars will be situated around the festival site at most bars and near to stages with Disabled Viewing Platforms. If a lowered bar counter is not possible, and when appropriate, a member of staff will be able to come around from the bar to take your order and assist you.
The Access Map, which will be available closer to the Festival, will detail where lowered bar counters are available, this will be sent to all accessibility citizens who have completed the Access Application Form shortly before the festival and will be included in your welcome pack.

British Sign Language Support
Boomtown are delighted to have again teamed up with DEAF EVENTS UK to provide BSL interpretation at this year's festival. Find them at the Deaf Events HQ in The Meadow accessible campsite for information, questions and support for Deaf residents.
BSL usually takes place from the viewing platforms and sometimes right in the action at the front of the stage. More info about this will be released shortly before the show.
Please kindly complete the Access Application Form to let us know if you are interested in using the BSL services provided by Deaf Events UK at next year's Festival.
The Meadow Disabled Parking at West Gate
The dedicated disabled car park is located close to The Meadow accessible campsite. Exact distances will be detailed closer to the Festival.
How do I book the Disabled Car Park close to The Meadow accessible campsite?
To arrange accessible parking in The Meadow disabled car park you must purchase a general car parking pass, then apply via the Access Application Form. Once you have been approved, the Access team will be able to swap your general car park pass to the Meadow Disabled Car Park pass.
Other Car Parks
There are priority Blue Badge parking areas at all car parks, located as close to the entry gate as possible. You do not need to request these in advance, just arrive with your blue badge displayed and speak to a steward when you arrive to be directed to this area. Please be aware that there will be moderate walking distances between these car parks and entry gates. If you struggle with walking long distances, we would advise requesting to park in the dedicated Disabled car park at West Gate.

Coaches and shuttle services from Winchester train station drop off at the public transport hub at West Gate
Taxi / Drop Off
If arriving by taxi or someone is dropping you off, head to the drop off zone at West Gate.
Arriving to the West Gate Access Customer entrance
If you are an approved access customer, we recommend arriving at the West Gate entry. Once you arrive at West Gate, look out for the dedicated Access Customer entrance sign. This will be a different entry point to the general customer queue. From here, you will be directed to a lowered counter wristbanding Box Office for Access Customers only. A member of the Access Team will be there to greet you.
There will be a short walking distance between the Access Customer entrance at West Gate, through wristbanding & security searches before reaching the accessible transport pick up point inside the Festival, please also be aware that there will be wait times for this service.
Can anyone help me with my bags getting into the Festival?
Arriving by Car: We are unable to help with carrying bags from your car to the Access Customer entrance at West Gate. We do not offer an accessible transport service from your car to any of the gate entrances. Please ensure that if you need assistance carrying things, to apply for a Personal Assistant ticket to support you.
Arriving by public transport & taxi drop off: There is a wheelchair accessible transport service between the public transport & taxi drop off and the West Gate Access Customer entry for wristband exchange. This transport is available to collect you and your PA only. Friends and family & their luggage must make their own way into the festival.
Please expect a moderate amount of walking distance between the Access Customer lane entrance for wristbanding, entering the Festival and The Meadow accessible campsite.
After you have entered the internal Festival site, there will be a wheelchair accessible transport service available. This is for use by the D/deaf or disabled customer and their PA only - friends and family must make their own way into the festival. Expected wait times are likely for the accessible transport pick up during busy peak periods.
Arriving in a live-in vehicle & staying in The Meadow Campsite
Live-in vehicles staying in the Meadow Accessible Campsite will receive a routing pass to direct you to enter the festival via a dedicated Access Customer campervan gate and be directed onwards to The Meadow accessible campsite. Please note that the Meadow accessible campervan route will not be the same entry point as the general campervan field or the car park. If you have already purchased a general campervan pass and would like to swap to stay in your live-in vehicle in The Meadow accessible campsite, please inform us of this via the Access Application Form. How do I start ‘the storyline’?
There is no single Boomtown storyline. Like any city, there are many stories happening at once. Which stories you find out about or become involved in will depend on a combination of which district you hang out in, who you speak to, and pure luck.
How do I get into the immersive world?
Look out for stories via posters, billboards and The Daily Rag. There you may find calls to get involved, such as places to sign up for a cause, or places to go to get involved. District storylines will be attached to characters and venues.
Go around the districts, into venues and ask characters if anyone needs help or what the district gossip is, you’ll find out what’s going on.
How big is the Boomtown site?
The whole Boomtown site is pretty big, you can expect to do quite a lot of walking over the weekend so please bring appropriate footwear.
The Matterley estate is a green-field site that utilises the natural amphitheatre, neighbouring woodland and the surrounding fields to form the unique festival experience of Boomtown.
What do I have to do?
Take part in the world. You will get the most out of the immersive world if you also play along. If you are talking to a millionaire filmmaker, you might get further if you tell him you are a famous actress. If you are talking to a clown, tell them your grandmother was a famous clown. It’s all about the blag.
Is Boomtown suitable for me if I have accessibility requirements?
Yes! Boomtown has comprehensive access facilities in place in order to welcome deaf and disabled citizens. This includes free Personal Assistant tickets, a dedicated accessibility campsite and extensive wide access facilities located throughout the site.

I'm under 18. Can I come to Boomtown?
As of 2024, Boomtown is an over 18’s event. You may see some under 18s during the event. This is because some of our crew live on site for many weeks creating the festival. They will be accompanied by responsible adults and well cared for to ensure their safety and wellbeing.
What if I have accessibility needs?
If you feel blocked due to having an access requirement, our actors are here to facilitate you, please ask any of the characters and they will be able to assist. If you have any questions before the show please email access@boomtownfair.co.uk
How do I prepare to play?
The immersive experience is varied, involving spoken word, written word and visual clues. We suggest building a small team with a mix of strengths for reading, blagging and spotting things. Make sure you’re ready to cover all senses.
What do I get out of the immersive world?
Following some storylines may lead to strange and beautiful experiences. However, It’s about the journey - not the destination. The Boomtown world is for playing in, not racing through. If you're just thinking about getting to the end of the story, you will not have fun.
What time can I stay on site until?
The site needs to be vacated by midday on Monday 11th August. Please make sure you are all packed up and on your merry way home by then.
Can I smoke anywhere on site?
The legislation regarding smoking inside public places applies to tented venues in the same way it does at your favourite club or pub. You will be asked to finish your cigarette (including e-cigarettes) outside. Please don’t smoke or vape in a venue.

What is the Boomtown immersive world?
The Boomtown immersive world is a collection of storylines which create the living city that is Boomtown. Some storylines are national news stories involving the whole city. Some storylines are local news stories involving just one district. Some storylines are town gossip involving just a few characters. Our audience also brings their own storylines… it might become confusing, but that’s all part of the fun.
There may come a time when all storylines seem to connect, and it all suddenly makes sense.
What if I can’t progress to the next part of the story?
This is very possible and likely to happen at least once. There is no shame in going back to where you last were and asking them for help. Ask for clues from any of the characters. Ultimately, the Boomtown world is there to play with you - not to block you.
What times can I play in the world?
Although you will be able to find clues from Thursday, the full interactive storylines run Friday to Sunday 1pm to 7pm.
Who is behind Boomtown?
Boomtown was started by a small team of young creative party goers who wanted to create something different - - an experience that brings to life underground music, art and theatre culture.
The festival is still run by the same people who started it - but we’ve come a long way in the last 15 years!
When is Boomtown?
Boomtown takes place over the second week of August between 6th-10th August 2025.
Where is Boomtown?
Boomtown is set in the rolling hills of Matterley Estate, a working dairy farm in the most westerly point of South Downs National park, near Winchester. Exact routing information will be sent with your ticket, please follow it carefully!
What’s open when?
Wednesday is a set up day only with limited entertainment. On Thursday there will be a limited number of stages, bars and venues open later in the afternoon. The full show, with all stages and attractions will be open at 12 noon on Friday onwards.
Will I be able to get phone signal?
As with most larger festival sites, phone signals tends to be a bit hit and miss. There are no payphones onsite so it's best to do things the old fashioned way and plan a pre-arranged meeting spot. Our app also has some offline functionality, so you’ll still be able to check the programme & the map!

Boomtown is a founding member of onboard:earth, a live events industry response to the climate crisis – a community of events, festivals, suppliers, artists and music companies taking action to reduce travel impacts by moving low-carbon travel into the heart of live events culture and raising funds for environmental restoration.
Since 2015, onboard:earth has worked with over 160 event industry members, providing t resources, tools, advice and inspiration to reduce travel emissions and channelling over £659,000 from event-goers to environmental restoration and climate action; funding community-led, community-led, community-benefit renewable energy generation and ecosystem protection and regeneration to protect biodiversity, sink carbon and create livelihoods for communities on the front line of climate change.

The Loop
The Loop provides information and advice on drug-related risks, aiming to prevent misuse and educate about potential dangers. They are campaigning hard to regain the ability to provide anonymous drug testing facilities at festivals. We partner year round with The Loop to support their incredible work.
South Downs National Park (SDNP)
Boomtown is built on borrowed land. We are committed to supporting the SDNP to achieve its two core objectives:
1. Conserve and enhance the park’s natural beauty, wildlife, and cultural heritage.
2. Promote opportunities for the understanding and enjoyment of the special qualities of the National Park by the public.
Over 55% of you have told us you will be visiting the South Downs National Park as a result of attending Boomtown. This is epic news and we urge you to take care of this precious natural resource, and make sure the only footprints we all leave are on the dancefloor.
Safer Spaces Now
Safer Spaces Now is the next step to creating equality and safety for all at festivals and events through education, training and providing vital, immediate and specialist support.
They work to prevent and address harassment, discrimination, and violence by providing trained staff and volunteers who promote respectful behaviour using the five D’s of active bystanders. Safer Spaces Now offers support and resources for anyone who feels unsafe or violated during the event. We are passionate about their important work.
