Alan Fitzpatrick

British DJ and producer Alan Fitzpatrick is known for his hard but commanding style of big-room techno. Since the late 2000s, Fitzpatrick has been releasing tracks on labels like Drumcode, Bedrock, and Cocoon which combine steady, booming beats with melodic tones informed by the energy of early rave music. Highly popular with clubbers around the world, he has played lengthy, energetic DJ sets at countless clubs and festivals, with regular appearances at Ibiza and major venues like Fabric and Tresor. His best-known tracks include 2012's luminous "Skeksis" and 2016's storming "We Do What We Want" (which kickstarted his own We Are the Brave imprint). Also in 2016, he released an acclaimed mix CD, Fabric 87.Born in Southampton, England, Alan Fitzpatrick grew up on a diet of funk and soul thanks to his Motown-loving father, before getting into pop music in the '80s and finally dance music culture through the rave and acid house scene. Becoming a dedicated clubber, he discovered techno and set about learning to make his own. A steep learning curve followed throughout the whole of the noughties, as over the course of the decade he honed his craft as a DJ and producer. Eventually, in 2008, he launched his own career with his debut single, "Nine Hours Later," on his own Eight-Sided Dice label, which he swiftly followed up with a number of other records. His real breakthrough came the following year, however, with the release of the singles "Weed Killer" on Len Faki's Figure label, "Reflections" on John Digweed's Bedrock, and "Static" on Adam Beyer's Drumcode. His tough, high-energy, relentlessly funky sound -- so different from the stark, monochromatic Berlin style so popular at the time -- was an instant hit with the techno cognoscenti. Relentlessly championed by the above-named high-profile figures who repeatedly dropped his tracks in their own sets, Fitzpatrick soon became a major face on the world techno scene, aided by his prolific work rate.Over the next half-decade, he released dozens of singles on a variety of respected labels, including Cocoon and Hotflush, but mostly on Drumcode, which also put out his debut artist album, Shadows in the Dark, in 2010. Much in demand as a remixer for the likes of Róisín Murphy and Leftfield, he also became an acclaimed DJ, playing all over the world, known for the party atmosphere of his groove-laden sets. Bald, burly, and tattooed, he was an intimidating presence behind the decks, but was loved by clubbers for his cheeky, playful mien. He became a resident at Fabric, the influential London nightclub where he had spent many a night on the dancefloor, and in 2016 released his first mix album, Fabric 87, an installment of the club's long-running series. He also launched a label called We Are the Brave with the anthemic "We Do What We Want," which became a huge festival hit. Subsequent Fitzpatrick tracks on the imprint included "They All Called 'Em Garys" and "El Jefe" (with Sasha). The producer also made an appearance on Unknown to the Unknown with 2018's System Addict. 11:11 the Awakening, a seven-track EP, was released on We Are the Brave in 2019. ~ John D. Buchanan, Rovi‍

Claptone

In a now long forgotten world, many generations ago, a bird like shape emerged from wooded darkness, floating and fluttering, drifting and dreaming. Backlit by a bright glow of iridescent light, the undecipherable form wore a dazzling golden mask. Its long beak swooped down like an inverted horn and since then, people have referred to the mythical being simply as Claptone. Years spending wandering medieval landscapes have informed Claptone’s view of the world, experiencing both magical mystery and muted melancholy he enchanted onlookers with occult instruments and beguiling sounds. Forever surrounded by a sense of intrigue, the world soon cottoned on to the elusive yet enchanting musical powers of this otherworldly beast. The results are that, today, his shamanistic sonic powers take him all around the world...‍

George Privatti

George Privatti’s story (Martorell, Spain 1983) is those where passion and effort meet to create something special. Starting his career in Barcelona’s raving scene, George has been creating his own musical identity since he was a young 17-year-old raver, following the reference of Spanish national stalwarts as Cristian Varela, Angel Molina, Óscar Mulero, or international figures as Jeff Mills, evolving till becoming the artist he is today. As clubber and dance music aficionado, thanks to the agenda of venues as Florida135 or elrow and the 90’ rave scene, Privatti formed his musical character. He became more and more involved in the electronic music scene as DJ, until he drew the attention of some clubs from Barcelona. After a transitional period and being an already recognized name in the scene, when he was 25 years old – and while studying Business Administration at university –, his interest and curiosity for musical production led him to start making his own music. For him, music was his cover letter and what would take him to the next level. With an uncompromised, groovy, cheerful, animated and very danceable sound, George Privatti dominates every aspect of the electronic music spectrum, with a special taste for tech-house and techno, although not tagging himself or his music to any genre.Nowadays, George is one of elrow’s residents, the brand being one of the fastest growing successes in the electronic music industry worldwide. First as client, and then climbing little by little in the organization, the relation between Privatti and elrow has strengthened and now is more solid than ever, growing together these past years. In 2012 George Privatti founded La Pera Records, along his longtime friend Guille Placencia, being their most revered discographic venture to date. At the beginning of 2018 they reached Beatport’s tech-house Chart #1 with their ‘What A Bam’, a true landmark for they and their label. La Pera was initially stablished as a platform to put out their own music, without compromises, and it has grown till becoming a respected label with its own identity, where other artists seek to put out their music. This 2018 is expected to be its best year so far.Beside La Pera, George Privatti has released music in some of the most important labels in the scene, as elrow Music, 100% Pure, Formatik, 1605, Toolroom, Deeperfect or FORM. Having set foot in over 20 countries (Mexico, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Argentina, France, United Kingdom, Belgium or The Netherlands), played in the most important festivals (Manchester’s Parklife, London’s Lovebox, Amsterdam’s 18h Festival or Tomorrowland itself), few are the venues that could resist George’s musical selection. This 2018 is set to be one of the best years for Privatti and his projects so far. Stay tuned…‍

Hannah Laing

Hannah Laing is the champion of the doof.Born in the nineties to two hardcore raver parents and immersed in a household powered by house and trance music, it was almost fate that years later she would firmly cement her position as the people’s pride of Scotland. Both her productions and DJ sets are filled with high energy, bouncy techno soundscapes with teasing stabs of hard house and trance – however to pigeonhole a sound influenced by several seasons in Ibiza and local clubs would be unjust. It has been a stellar 12 months for Hannah, who’s 2022 Creamfields North set soared her into the psyche of many a partygoer, resulting in a sold out UK headline tour merely months later. The burgeoning success of Hannah’s latest release ‘Good Love’ feels almost inevitable, then, but her plethora of rave-ready cuts primed for release in forthcoming months make it clear that she’s only getting started.Enter Doof: a currently unannounced, yet expertly teased, label and party. Fans are already scrawling themselves in Doof themed tattoos, buying out a surprise merchandise drop and creating their own Doof themed flags and glowsticks to bring to Hannah’s sets – when they find out the full plans for the concept, the response is set to be immense. In the meantime, though, you’ll catch Hannah in her happy place, showcasing her hypnotic sound to the most immense crowds worldwide. From Glastonbury, to Creamfields, to everywhere in between; Hannah Laing is truly taking over.‍

Kink

Up there with naked skydiving or riding a dinosaur into battle, enjoying one of KiNK’s exihilerating live sets is a bucket-list worthy experience. Commanding an army of analogue synths and controllers, KiNK composes on the fly so each moment is 100% original. The timing is pristine, the techno is filthy. If you’re having as much fun as he is, you’re doing it right.‍

Her regular Rinse FM appearances and Rupture’s success, supported by jungle legends, showcase her dedication to the scene.‍

Marc Maya

Sometimes, it’s completely unnecessary to fill an artist’s biography with extra words. And this is the case for Marc Maya. Charging into the frontlines of the Barcelona clubbing scene in the late 90s he quickly became one of the most influential Spanish electronic artists. With a dynamic and revolutionary attitude he led the all-time techno classic Florida135 and still does at the infamous elrow booths around the world. In 2008 Marc joined forces with Juan Arnau, one of the most prolific promoters in Spain (founder of Monegros Desert Festival, Florida 135 and KER Club) to carry out a new project: the opening of Row 14. Row 14 quickly became one of the best and most charming clubs in Barcelona, with a weekly crowd of 4000 clubbers attending every show, elrow Sundays and Marc’s new home was born.Always attracted to the grooviest rhythms, showing a powerful stage attitude and a wide range of musical styles, Marc’s sets are famous for being full of energy, fun and strength. His versatile and unsparing nature is the key to his worldwide success.Let us not forget both his entrepreneurial charisma and toughness in the recording studio which have also a lot to do with Marc’s success and him sharing the stage next to the big names of the worldwide scene. Marc Maya has collaborated with and signed on labels such as Cr2 Records, Suara, Great Stuff, Einmusika, VIVa LIMITED, Upfront Records, and of course elrow Music and Florida Music. His most recent releases, all of them always included in the most important techno / house charts are: “Reflections EP” and “Neo2” both on Cr2 Records, “Arneta” on Voltaire Music, “The Freak EP” alongside Toni Varga on VIVa LIMITED and a remix for Marc DePulse's "Sienka" signed on Einmusika Recordings.‍

Olive F

A muso through & through, Olive’s progression into music production and DJing has been entirely organic, following several summers in Ibiza and years of record-collecting.Refusing to conform to the norm, Olive lets her music do the talking, quickly established herself as one of the main residents of Darius Syrossian’s Moxy Muzik parties and leaving a big impression via recent sets at fabric and ADE.Following a period of dedicated and focused studio time, Olive now has a stacked release schedule of  productions, forthcoming on Moxy Muzik and Seven Dials, with collaborations with some of the scene’s big-hitters including Phil Weeks and Darius Syrossian, and plenty more action to come in the months ahead.‍

Samurai Breaks

Samurai Breaks has been at the forefront of the UK 160bpm+ explosion over the last few years, winning DJ Mags Best Breakthrough Producer 2021. This was a real win for someone outside of the genres normal boundaries and pushed him further to challenge the uptempo music scene – proving fast and dirty beats doesn’t have to be just angry DnB. He’s been non-stop gigging every weekend since then but has found time to start his new label SSBB (Super Sonic Booty Bangers), running events up and down the country with headliners like The Glitch Mob, Sully, Mandidextrous, Fixate, Mantra, Pete Cannon, Itoa, Naina and more… Along with a 2nd Hooversound vinyl release on the cards, a string of collabs with The Glitch Mob, a full collab vinyl with Napes, a debut n4 vinyl and a follow up EP on his own label and much much more on its way!‍

Seb Zito

And it is this that allowed him to establish himself as one of the core residents for London and Ibiza’s successful FUSE event series. His place as one of the key proponents of FUSE’s distinctive warm dubby sound is also reflected in his productions. Regularly featuring on VA EPs for both FUSE and inFUSE, the past 12 months have seen a string of releases and remixes that built on a solid foundation of previous output on labels such as OFF and Monique. His ‘Never’ EP on FUSE showed his ability to translate his DJ style into solidly crafted cut, whilst remixes for Whim-ee on Nite Grooves and Claudia Amprino on Tzinah showed his dexterity in reinterpreting other artists creative endeavors. In addition to his skills behind the wheels of steel, Seb’s involvement with the brand extends to A&R duties for the two labels. The ear for music that makes a dance floor hum proving to be a valuable asset in signing those future bombs to FUSE and inFUSE.Looking forward into 2014 there is more of the same from Seb as he prepares releases on Vekton Black, London Based party, Cerca Trova, D-Floor records and Genial whilst and also preparing for another season on the White Isle.‍

Sidney Charles

It’s not often a DJ can stamp their authority on a genre so much that it gets its own label, but Sidney Charles is one. His take on house music is known amongst fans as The Sidney Sound: it’s one built on heavy low ends, the immediate impact of chunky drums, cavernous low frequencies and hard hitting rhythms that connect directly with your body. Both as a DJ and a producer, Sidney favours rough, dirty sounds that defined the old school pioneers, but all with a modern, full and punchy approach. His signature tunes like ‘House Lessons’ and ‘Warehouse Romance’ established this early on, and since then the artist has homed in on ever more irresistible rhythms on key labels like Truesoul, Hot Creations and Saved. HIs upfront, dark, hard hitting take on house is about physicality and making your body move. He wants to get you jacked up on the dance floor and keep you there. He does so with a mixing technique drawn from his long standing love of hip hop and battle DJs: beat matching, subtle scratching and tight, quick, energetic mixes that move things along at a pace.‍

Solardo

Hailing from Manchester, production duo Mark Richards & James Eliot, collectively known as Solardo, are continuing the city’s rich heritage in house music.Releases via imprints like Viva, and elrow helped them secure their first Beatport No. 1 with their breakthrough record on Hot Creations, ‘Tribesmen’. Since then, the pair have catapulted into the public eye, remixing tracks for Duke Dumont & Gorgon City, MK, and Nicole Moudaber & Carl Cox. Following EPs on Toolroom Records and Relief Records, they launched their own imprint, Sola, which has so far housed productions from the likes of CamelPhat, Secondcity & Mason Maynard. After selling out The Warehouse Project, the pair kicked off 2018 with their second sold-out Solardo Sessions UK tour which also included dates in Barcelona, Milan and Rotterdam. Following this, they completed a relentless stint of shows in the US, which included Movement Detroit and EDC Las Vegas. Over the past 12 months, they have also completed successful tours worldwide, across the likes of Australia and South America, alongside countless festival shows at Glastonbury, Lovebox, Tomorrowland and Parklife. Not stopping there, Mark & James acclaimed their own 12 week residency alongside Eric Prydz at Hï Ibiza hosting the club room, ticking off another superclub having previously performed at Circoloco & Paradise at DC-10. Adding to recent accolades, which have seen the duo crowned DJ Mag’s Best Breakthrough DJs of 2016 and Best Duo of 2017.‍

Spinks

Co-founder of Brighton’s institutional parties Polyglamorous and Aeon, as well as having played at festivals of the likes of Body Movements & Boomtown, Spinks is no stranger to the dancefloor and its occupants. Spinks draws on these experiences & has developed a deep understanding of how to cultivate atmosphere and excitement on a dancefloor. They’re adept at connecting the dots between these parts of themselves to deliver exciting new sounds and an unmatched vibe - expect hard kicks and harder grooves.‍

Syreeta

"Emerging London-based selector whose sounds are as diverse as her approach to life" ~ Mixmag'I try to use music to express my love for life. At its essence the dancefloor is an unfiltered space where togetherness exists, a place where everyone is equal…….that may sound a bit clichéd but it’s something I genuinely believe in. It’s as important now with what’s going on in the world politically and the seemingly unforeseen side-effects of social media as it’s ever been'Syreeta is passionate about her sound which is best described as high energy tech; a fusion of chunky basslines and melodic grooves with the focus on keeping the dance floor moving. Although fairly new to the scene by some standards, her love for house music means that she gets just as much enjoyment from delving into her extensive back catalogue to educate the crowd as much as playing the latest releases. She’s all about creating an atmosphere that is an expression of her character – a spirit of happiness and inclusivity. She cut her teeth on the thriving underground party scene in East London playing alongside and learning from the likes of Point G, Clive Henry, Alex Arnout, Archie Hamilton, Samu.l, Varhat and Vid. The common theme, and what people have quickly grown to love about Syreeta, is that she doesn’t want to just play at the biggest parties, she wants to play at the best parties. Ones where she has an opportunity to connect with the crowd and where the vibe is right. Her attitude is a throwback to the Rave Era and has seen her play at a wide range of venues from forest raves, underground basements, Ibiza clubs and car parks, to party buses, beaches and boats. Her feel for the dancefloor means that she’s able to have a relationship with and excite a wide variety of audiences which led to her being asked by Mixmag to play on the Smirnoff House stage at Reading Festival, Parklife, VFest and Trnsmt where she played with artists such as The Shapeshifters, Monki, Jasper James, My Nu Leng, Sam Divine and The Menendez Brothers.Syreeta’s musical influences stretch far and wide, from rock to hip hop, jungle, jazz and everything in between. If you ask her who she admires, it would change depending on her mood, whether it be bands like Pendulum, The Prodigy and Skunk Anasie who bare their soul and leave it all on the stage. Elements of this can be seen in her dj sets where she’ll always be dancing as she plays and if she's not behind the decks you're likely to find her on the dance floor as, at heart, she's all about good vibes! She hopes her journey into djing not only brings joy to others but inspires people of diverse backgrounds to similarly follow their heart and explore their passions in life. After featuring in Mixmag's magazine showcasing her as an essential new talent, Syreeta made her Paris debut at The Lab, alongside Jamie Jones and did a live stream for Mixmag's Lab home sessions during the Covid lockdown. Most recently Syreeta joined a pride live stream event alongside Maya Jane Cole, Kiddy Smiles and DJ Paulette for Beatport which was curated by He.She.They for whom she is a resident. She has also recorded a guest mix for Luke Solomon which is to be featured on his Business As Usual radio show.Syreeta can also be heard at her residency at Reasons Festival where she has played with heavyweights Alan Fitzpatrick, Btraits and Rossko. Production is also something she is really excited about with mood elevating releases planned in the very near future!‍

Zed Bias

For well over two decades, shattering stylistic standards has been his trademark, as he builds on whatever base takes his fancy – house, UK garage, dancehall, funk, broken beat, dubstep, dub reggae and so on – then shifts that particular piece of music into areas that are never less than surprising. \‍
