Monkey

Formed in 1996, San Francisco-based ska/swing band Monkey blends ska with soul, jazz, Latin, and rock influences. Their debut album Changito! (1997), self-produced and self-released, sold over 6,000 copies, launching a successful and enduring career. With five EPs, over 20 compilation appearances, contributions to film and video game soundtracks, and four full-length albums, Monkey has remained incredibly productive. Averaging 200 live performances annually, the band stands out as one of the hardest-working ska groups of the 2000s, consistently delivering energetic music and performances.
