Kasra Mowlavi, the founder of Critical Music, has spent over two decades shaping the drum & bass scene. With a deep passion for music and a career in the wider industry, Kasra became a solo artist in 2018. Known for his A&R expertise, he’s released music on Doc Scott’s 31 Records and Critical. Critical Music remains his primary focus, allowing him to mentor emerging artists and grow the label. Kasra finds fulfillment in helping artists thrive and is now dedicating more time to his own music, always looking forward and focused on the future of the scene.‍

From humble beginnings working as a clown’s assistant, trifle tester, and machinist, Martin Reeves, better known as Krafty Kuts, has earned his place as one of the world’s most respected turntablists and producers. A pioneer in the UK breakbeat and bass movement, Krafty’s career spans multiple critically acclaimed solo albums, collaborations with legends like Kurtis Blow and the Jungle Brothers, and remixes for top labels including OWSLA and Ministry Of Sound. Renowned for his technical prowess and inventive DJ sets, he’s toured the globe, playing iconic festivals like Glastonbury, Bestival, and Electric Castle. Plump DJs

Plump DJs, a pioneering DJ and production duo from London, have been at the forefront of electronic music since 1998. Known for blending breakbeat, bass, and house, their innovative sound has shaped modern dance music. Their debut album A Plump Night Out set them apart as breakbeat innovators, followed by releases on Finger Lickin’ Records. With electrifying sets at iconic venues like Fabric and festivals such as Glastonbury and Coachella, they continue to push musical boundaries. Recently collaborating with Krafty Kuts and Freestylers as part of King of the Beats, Plump DJs remain a driving force in electronic music worldwide.

Freestylers

With a 15-year career spanning the globe, Freestylers have firmly established themselves in the bass music scene. From their early days in the '90s blending hip-hop, electro, and beats, to iconic tracks like "Push Up" and "Punks," they’ve consistently pushed boundaries. Known for electrifying live performances at festivals like Glastonbury and collaborating with Lenny Kravitz, their music has appeared in films like Zoolander. With five albums under their belt and a sixth in the works, their ever-evolving sound blends bass, breaks, and beyond. Whether live or DJing, the Freestylers continue to rock audiences worldwide.

King Prawn

King Prawn is a trailblazer in the UK ska-punk scene, known for their electrifying blend of punk, ska, and hip-hop. Formed in London in 1993, the band quickly gained recognition for their dynamic live shows, earning two Kerrang! Award nominations. After releasing four albums and touring worldwide, they disbanded in 2003 with a sold-out final show at London’s Forum. Reformed in 2013, they expanded to a 7-piece with a brass section and keyboard, releasing their fifth album, The Fabulous New Sounds Of.... Following a break, King Prawn returned to the stage in 2023 with new material, announcing UK and European shows for 2024.

Klueless

Klueless, a rising star in the bass music scene, is known for her high-energy, genre-blending DJ sets that span a variety of bass genres. With a focus on inclusivity, she promotes diversity and empowers underrepresented talent. Drawing from her mixed Kazakh-English heritage, Klueless advocates for greater representation in the scene. She’s performed at major events and joined the Kool FM roster. A feminist and mental health advocate, Klueless emphasizes self-care and positive vibes in her work. With her debut releases on the horizon, she continues to push boundaries while embodying the PLUR spirit and spreading love through music.

Koffee

Mikayla “Koffee” Simpson may be small in stature and disarmingly unassuming but her modesty and height belies huge amounts of talent. The 5’0, self-described “sing-jay-guitarist” is one of the most exciting, forward-thinking, globally focused young talents to emerge from Jamaica in recent years.

Kofi Stone

Kofi’s journey began with his Grandad’s poetry, sparking an early passion for freestyling and writing. Influenced by legends like Lupe Fiasco, Kano, and Sway, he was soon introduced to a studio, marking the start of his musical career. His breakout singles, “Stories In Pyjamas” and “Nothin’ Ain’t Free,” quickly positioned him as a standout talent. His debut project, Nobody Cares Till Everybody Does, featured Loyle Carner and Maverick Sabre, cementing his place in the scene. Kofi’s 2024 album, A Man After God’s Own Heart, dives deep into themes of love, faith, and race, showcasing his vulnerability. With collaborations and a growing fanbase, 2025 promises even bigger things.

Kojey Radical

The twenty eight year old multi-genre musician has emerged as one of Britain’s most thrilling and unique creative voices. Blending everything from Rap to Jazz, spoken-word to funk, Kojey manages to wrap narrations on the conditions of country, the celebrations of community and the relationship with self into soulful, rhythmic sounds that carry at stage shows and festivals. By doing so, he has become a voice for the unheard.

Koko Acid-Lab

Koko (Acid-Lab) was born in Paraguay and he arrived to Europe in 2001. He began to be interested in electronic music in 2004 when the free party movement was growing in Catalonia and he spent many years going from party to party growing and maturing as an artist, at that time in 2012 the Acid Lab project was born with the aim of maintaining the essence of acid-techno in Catalonia. Currently the project is on a high and working with the aim of transmitting and distributing good Acid music,

Kurupt FM

West London’s iconic pirate radio station, Kurupt FM, has become Brentford’s biggest export since its football club. Starting with DIY YouTube webisodes, they caught the eye of The Office producers, leading to a BBC3 pilot that gained cult status. With fans like Ed Sheeran, JME, Annie Mac, and Maisie Williams, they’ve sold out Village Underground and rocked major festivals like Bestival, Creamfields, and Boomtown. L.P. Rhythm

LSB

LSB, a talented producer from the UK, made his debut with releases on Bingo Beats and Deep Soul Music in 2007-08. After refining his craft, he returned in 2011, gaining recognition for his soulful yet dancefloor-driven sound. His music on labels like Spearhead, Integral, and Soul:r earned him a global fanbase. A standout moment came in 2015 with the collaborative track "The View" alongside DRS & Tyler Daley. His debut album, Content (2016), solidified his reputation. Continuing to release on top Drum & Bass labels, LSB launched his own imprint, footnotes, in 2018, followed by the Blue Hour album with DRS in 2019.

DRS

As a solo artist DRS is two albums, an EP and countless features into his trajectory. His music is the sound of an artist becoming a master of his domain, a wry look at life underpinned by honesty and great writing. As a creative he works across different disciplines: music, film and art. His success as an artist boils down to his refusal to speak on anything other than his truths, something that listeners can identify with, this is highlighted by three award wins at the Drum & Bass awards: Best MC, Best Vocalist and he featured on the Still Standing Remix which was awarded best remix. He is the go-to host for some of the finest that electronic music has to offer, from Calibre to Toddla T.

LTJ Bukem

LTJ Bukem is a pioneering DJ, producer, and label entrepreneur who helped elevate drum and bass from underground raves to global prominence. Starting as a pianist, Bukem’s passion for jazz fusion led him to DJing and sound system culture. His groundbreaking track, "Logical Progression," and the launch of his label Goodlooking in the early '90s defined his unique, soulful sound. Known for his visionary sets and production, Bukem’s influence expanded through iconic events like 'Speed' and collaborations with major artists. A true innovator, his contributions to the drum and bass scene continue to resonate worldwide.

Dynamite MC

Dynamite MC, aka Dominic Smith, is a global icon in the MC world, initially gaining recognition in Jungle and Drum & Bass. Over the years, he's expanded his range to hip-hop, breaks, garage, and reggae, collaborating with artists like Krafty Kuts, Chali 2na, Andy C, DJ Marky, Tiesto, and more. His career began on pirate radio and led to his key role in Roni Size's Reprazent, whose New Forms won the Mercury Music Prize. Dynamite has also released solo work, hosted radio shows, and toured extensively, solidifying his reputation as one of the most in-demand MCs in the scene.

LUNDA

LUNDA is a French-Congolese singer whose music ignites the soul, offering a fresh alternative indie sound that's soulful, captivating, and powerful. Known for his deeply artistic approach, LUNDA has gained attention across the UK and supported Sophie Ellis-Bextor, leaving audiences enthralled with his eccentricity and boundless energy. Lady Leshurr

Birmingham-born MC, singer, and producer, Lady Leshurr, is known for blending house, hip hop, dancehall, and pop, and cites Lil Wayne as a major influence. Leshurr has collaborated with artists like Tinie Tempah, Wiley, and Lethal B, and worked with producers including R1 and Noisa. She supported Wiley on his tour and gained attention for her viral cover of “Look At Me Now.” In 2011, she launched Gutter Strut Recordings, her own label. With growing support from top DJs, she's quickly becoming a standout in the UK urban scene. After apearing on many primetime tv shows and hosting a primetime 1xtra radio show Lady Leshurr is about to release her Back 2 Basics Mix tape to kick 2025 of in great fashion.‍

Lady Rage

Lady Rage are a band like no other, an all chick, non binary band. Formed in 2019. They have a strong metal influence, spiced with punk & grrrr riot undertones, hard hitting beats & hardcore style vocals. They have now released 8 singles/music videos & also their first ever album “Hear Me Screaming” which has been reviewed in metal hammer, had a full feature in Vive La Rock along with an album review & many other blogs, publications and websites. Lake Malice

Lake Malice, formed by Alice Guala and Blake Cornwall from Brighton, U.K., is a fast-rising force in the alternative scene. Drawing inspiration from Japanese anime and writing about past trauma and real-life experiences, their unique fusion of hyperpop and metal has earned them multiple nominations at the Heavy Music Awards for ‘Best UK Breakthrough Artist’ and ‘Best Breakthrough Live Artist’. Laze, a Marseille native, developed a passion for electronic music at an early age, immersing herself in the city's rave and acid techno scene. She later discovered techno through Caisson Gauche Records, where she became both a member and event planner. Laze is also a resident DJ for the Parisian label Matiere. Drawing influences from rave, break, and sensitive sounds, she crafts a dreamlike musical universe defined by brilliant, energetic, and digital vibes.
